Many thanks for your continued prayers and support

The Change Your Life Project started the first two Ex-prisoners Focus Group this year after Entreprenuership, mentorship Career Guidance training for a selected two groups of five members in Nairobi and the Other in Kitui counties.

The first group is involved in Carpentry and Joinery Project and the other group is in Goat keeping and the Honey Project in the rural county of Kitui.

Pray for the Goat keeping Group in the County of Kitui, we are trusting God for financial support to purchase 10 goats and five bicicles for the collection of Honey from the Villages.

The group has a vision to start a Rural Village honey processing House.

Praise God for His Faithfulness and grace as we launch our Philemon Foundation Board Team of 7 members, Three lawyers, two Human Resource Consultants, one medical Doctor and one principal Magistrate. Under the leadership of Our Chair Janet Munwyoki, — Who is a Human Rights Lawyer, an advocate of the high court of Kenya, with passion for human rights and education, legislative, policy advocacy and public interest litigation.

Please pray for Janet for God’s wisdom and insight as she leads the Team.

Please pray and thank God for Njihia Njoroge who has been very key in the training in the prisons and has continued supporting me with other 4 professionals who contribute their resources to make the training a success.

Remember me in your prayers as i trust God for the construction of a Community Reform Facility, an Ex-prisoner’s Mentorship and leadership training Centre in a 10 acre Land Bought last year in Kibwezi, a Rural town 200 kilometres from the city of Nairobi.

Pray for Social rehabilitation and rehabilitation of prisoners in kenya, as Reformed ex-prisoners we face rejection from members our society. Personally i have faced many challeges and my prayer is that God to use me to became a channel of Blessings for reformed prisoners in my country.

I Thank God for you all for praying for me and encouraging me

All the Blessings to you.

The biggest challenge is that some people don’t believe we have reformed, but we are determined to reclaim the lost trust. It is always worth giving someone a second chance,’’ says Evans Murigi.

Check out this great article about the work of Kelvin Mwikya in Kenya:

His passion for helping prisoners is equipping former inmates to run successful businesses in Kenya.

Please remember me in your prayers for tomorrow, Tuesday 24th as i do my presentation at the Daystar University, this is the biggest Christian university in Kenya , and this is my first time doing a presentation to over 2,500 people. The title is ON THE POWER OF TRANSFORMATION and it is to do with the work in prisons that i do in Kenya. I will be addressing scholars, educationists and experts on different issues in life, I need God’s Grace and guidance, please pray for me.

Today Monday i was addressing the Association of Correctional services members in Africa in Nairobi on the PRISON REFORM INTERVENTIONS IN AFRICA and it was very encouraging for me to stand before a big congregation of prison experts to give a speach before the Justice Minister and Chief Justice of Kenya.

Last Thursday the Commissioner of Prisons hosted the Ex-prisoners Focus Group in his office and we had very good progress on the way forward on the discussions around Criminal record regime. Both legal teams from the prisons and probation departments were of great help to us, it’s my prayer that God will use us to bring the desired social change in our criminal justice system and especially on the laws that discriminate against us as ex-prisoners.
