Inspired Individuals

The Inspired Individuals initiative is looking for a volunteer to work alongside one of our inspired individuals in Asia. You would need to have experience in farming and be willing to spend 3 to 6 months in Asia.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside an inspired individual working on drug rehabilitation, while supporting them to become financially sustainable through various types of farming e.g. fish, mushrooms, goats etc…

You would need to be self-funded, but a small financial stipend maybe available.

Dear Friends

Friday 15th March 2013 marks two years since the start of the Syria conflict. The people of Syria need our prayers in this time of conflict and uncertainty.

On Thursday 14th March Tearfund is asking supporters and friends around the world to remember in prayer the people of Syria and to pray for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Syria.

Over a million Syrians have now fled the country as the conflict at home escalates, and millions of people have been displaced within the country. Many have been forced to leave everything behind. They have no shelter and are struggling to access food and have no certainty over what lies ahead. Tearfund partners are working to help meet immediate needs.

Almighty God
Today we remember before you the people of Syria.
Our hearts ache for their pain and suffering.
Lord we ask for your comfort to be made known.

Loving Father
We pray for all who are responding in love in Syria and in the surrounding countries.
Bless them as they work day and night to help those in need.
Lord we ask for your mercy to be made known.

Prince of Peace
We ask you to raise up peacemakers
Grant discernment and wisdom to leaders and others with influence, that a road of peace may be found.
Please help us to be faithful in your ministry.
Lord we ask for your peace to be made known.

Dear inspired individuals and prayer supporters

Tearfund is organising a day of prayer for Darfur, Sudan next week on Wednesday 20th February. We are inviting our supporters, friends and networks to join us in prayer on this day in whichever way they can. The day will leads into a season of prayer for Darfur in 2013.
