The Inspired Individuals Initiative seeks to identify, support and resource Christian social entrepreneurs – change agents whose unique vision, passion and entrepreneurial skills have the potential to bring about significant positive social change in innovative ways.
OUR SUPPORT
Our support is designed to help the ‘Inspired Individuals’ achieve their full potential and increase their impact. The initiative supports selected ‘Inspired Individuals’ for a three-year period, offering them:
1. First and foremost, prayer support.
2. As social entrepreneurs often feel isolated, the second area of support provided is fellowship: a network of like-minded people who can encourage and challenge each other in their work. Through connecting with each other, opportunities are created for their ideas and impact to spread through their collaborative efforts.
3. Thirdly, each individual is paid a small financial stipend for a period of three years. The purpose of the stipend is to help the individual to focus on their innovation whilst building towards sustainability.
4. The fourth area of support is too facilitate networking of our inspired individuals with others working within their areas of social impact. Interacting with other experts, social entrepreneurs, and influencers within their areas of work creates further opportunities for collaboration and scaling impact.
5. Finally, a bespoke support programme is designed for each new inspired individual combining mentoring, coaching and training to address barriers to success and scaling impact.
THE SELECTION PROCESS
The success of the Inspired Individuals Initiative rests on the quality of the individuals supported. A rigorous selection process is used to determine the suitability of each nominated candidate.
1. The first step in quality assurance is the adoption of a nomination process rather than accepting direct applications. Potential Inspired Individuals who meet the initial criteria, are nominated for support by people who know them.
2. The second step is to investigate the suitability of the nominated candidate by gathering information on their work, requesting references, and contacting the candidate directly.
3. The final step is to conduct an on-site visit with the candidate to verify the information collected and to determine the candidate’s suitability for the programme.
Following this rigorous screening process, prospective nominations are put before a selection panel for selection.
